Introducing the Tennessee Missing Children’s Day 2026 Movie Poster: A New Chapter at Capitol Theatre

When you think of movie posters, you think of stories that deserve to be told on the big screen: narratives that move us, challenge us, and stay with us long after the lights come up.

The stories of Tennessee’s missing children, and the families who never stop searching, deserve that same level of visibility, that same cultural importance, and that same unforgettable impact.

Why a Movie Poster for Tennessee Missing Children’s Day?

For the first time in our event’s history, Tennessee Missing Children’s Day will take place at the historic Capitol Theatre in Lebanon, Tennessee on March 4, 2026. This is our statement about how we view this cause.

Missing children’s stories aren’t footnotes. They’re not statistics buried in news reports. They’re epic narratives of families who refuse to give up, communities that rally together, and the relentless pursuit of hope against impossible odds.

They deserve a stage. They deserve a spotlight. They deserve to be unmissable.

The Significance of Capitol Theatre

The Capitol Theatre has been Lebanon’s cultural heart since 1927, a place where communities gather for performances, films, and events that matter. By hosting Tennessee Missing Children’s Day in this iconic venue, we’re signaling something that child safety and missing children’s advocacy belong in the center of our cultural conversation, not on the margins.

When families walk through those theatre doors on March 4th, they’re participating in something cinematic in scope. A day filled with:

  • Speakers for child advocacy (our leading voices)
  • Educational resources for child safety strategies (free child fingerprinting kits provided)
  • Resource connections for families in crisis (our support network)
  • Stories of hope from families still searching (our real-life heroes)
  • Community commitment to protecting Tennessee’s children (our collective resolution)

This is a production worth promoting like a blockbuster.

Behind the Foundation: Why We Do This

The Bethany Markowski Foundation was born from one family’s experience navigating a system that wasn’t built for families of missing children. When Bethany disappeared in 2001, her family, including our founder and board chair Jonnie Carter (Bethany’s mother), discovered critical gaps:

  • Families don’t know what steps to take when their child goes missing
  • Child safety education is difficult to access
  • Resources existed but were scattered and hard to find during crisis
  • Community support was willing but didn’t know how to help effectively

We are building what we wished had existed for Bethany’s family and so many others.

Tennessee Missing Children’s Day represents the culmination of that mission: bringing together everything a family needs in one accessible, free, community-centered event. Law enforcement expertise. Child safety education. Support resources. Peer connections. And most importantly, HOPE.

How You Can Be Part of the Story

Just like a great film needs an audience, Tennessee Missing Children’s Day needs community participation to create real impact.

We need event volunteers to make March 4 run smoothly. If you can give a few hours, reach out to us.

Spread the Word

Talk about Tennessee Missing Children’s Day in your circles. Mention it at PTA meetings, Sunday services, book clubs, or wherever your community gathers. Word of mouth is powerful.

The Stories That Need Telling

Behind every missing child is a family whose story deserves to be heard. Behind every search is a community that refused to look away. Behind every prevention education session is a child who might be kept safe because someone cared enough to learn.

These stories deserve a marquee. They deserve a theatre. They deserve our attention, our resources, and our action.

That’s why we made a movie poster.

Because on March 4, 2026, at the Capitol Theatre in Lebanon, we’re spotlighting stories that matter, supporting families who need us, and building the kind of community that refuses to let children fall through the cracks.

This is Tennessee Missing Children’s Day 2026!
